I am Charles Cantin, a consultant operating under the business name Initia, based in Quebec (Canada). I am responsible for protecting the personal information collected through this website. For any question, or to exercise your rights: charles@avecinitia.com.

Intellectual property

All site content (text, graphics, layout, logotype, the Initia brand, source code) belongs to Charles Cantin (Initia), unless otherwise indicated. Any reproduction, distribution or adaptation without my prior written authorization is prohibited.

External links

The site includes links to third-party sites (LinkedIn, GitHub, etc.), provided for reference. I have no control over their content and accept no responsibility for it.

Information collected

No information is collected during a simple visit. When you choose to write to me, the contact form collects:

• first and last name;
• email address;
• company name (optional);
• the content of the message.

Retention

I keep this information for as long as it takes to handle your request and, if a business relationship follows, for the duration of that relationship, subject to applicable legal obligations.

Use

This information is used solely to respond to your request and, where applicable, to follow up on an engagement.

Disclosure to third parties

I do not sell or rent your information, and I do not pass it on to any third party for commercial purposes. It may be processed by a tool (see below), or disclosed if the law requires it or if you consent to it.

Tools and hosting outside Quebec

Contact management

The contact form runs on a CRM (currently HubSpot, Inc., though this may change), which serves as a contact management tool on my behalf: the platform receives and stores the form information so that I can handle your request. Your information may therefore be hosted and processed outside Quebec, notably in the United States. HubSpot commits by contract to personal information protection measures. By submitting the form, you consent to this processing. If my CRM changes, I will make sure these same protections are in place.

Audience analytics

The site uses Plausible Analytics, which sets no cookie and collects no personal information. Only aggregated data (pages visited, country of origin, device type) is used to improve the site. No individual identifier is created.

Your rights (Law 25)

Under the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), you can:

• access the information I hold about you;
• have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
• withdraw your consent to its use;
• receive your information in a structured format (portability);
• request its deletion when its retention is no longer justified.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws in force in the province of Quebec (Canada) and the applicable Canadian federal laws. Any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Quebec.
